TIPS | Three ways to wear the white dress

A white dress is gorgeous, but it can also be a bit plain, or even boring. Even though the dress can be a gorgeous piece just by itself, sometimes you really want to spice it up, to make it look a bit different. But how are you going to do that? This is exactly what I asked myself when I bought a white dress I really liked at Expresso. The dress looks really nice and clean and the fabric is so soft (but crinkly)!! But how on earth could I make this dress entirely me? I ended up searching my closet for lots of pieces I could combine it with. Statement necklaces, sneakers, boots, sandals, socks, different layers... I tried on almost everything and today I'm showing you the three best options to look flawless in your basic white dress!



1. Clean and simple
A white dress is always a strong combination with a black blazer. For this first look, I paired the Expresso dress with my favorite Boohoo.com blazer. This look can be a perfect business look when you wear it with simple black sandals, ballerina flats or heels, but for casual occasions, bright colored socks are perfect with this look! Socks and boots can give a clean and simple look like this just the little kind of something it needs.


2. As a blouse
Who says dresses can only be worn as dresses?! It's super easy to turn it into a blouse. I do this all the time with dresses, they are actually quite versatile! Because of the mid-lentgh shape and the soft, flowy fabric, I think this dress looks best with high waisted jeans. I wore my H&M polkadot jeans (girlfriend model, bought in sale) with the blouse, plus a statement necklace. And because an outfit with jeans can never be over the top, I chose to wear these shiny silver shoes I bought in Paris. Perfect for a colder summer day like we're having all the time now!


3. Layers, layers, layers!
A blouse can not only look good with a sweater, it can also look super cute with a dress. Just try it sometime! I finished this third and last look with sneakers I bought lately at Fashion Vintage, an online second hand store powered by Glamour magazine. Famous bloggers like Linda Tol and Sabrina from After DRK also sell their stuff here, so it's definitely worth a visit! I've been wearing these sneakers almost every day lately, they're so comfy! And in my opinion, they go perfectly with this layered look :).
