Forever Favorites

In all those fashion loving years, I collected a lot of terrible, but also a lot of great pieces. For today's post I thought it would be fun to show you my five all time favorite pieces. Fasten your seatbelts. It has been a bumpy ride collecting all of these pieces...





These leopard printed beauties are my first favorites. I bought them in Paris a couple of years ago - I don't even remember when I bought them! It must have been in about 2011. I went to Paris for three days, together with my mom. I saw these beauties in sale at Andre on day one, but I didn't buy them right away. As much as I loved them, I just didn't want to spend all my money on the first day! Of course I regretted that decision big time, so the rest of our city trip, we searched all the Andre stores for these shoes. And we found them on the last day. Must have been meant to be, right?!



This bracelet is from the Anna Dello Russo for H&M collection. I loved this piece right from the very first moment I saw it, but I wasn't really saving money for the collection, as I hadn't expected to fall for any of the pieces at first. But when I saw this, I new I'd been wrong. When it hit the stores on the 4th of October in 2012, I avoided the H&M stores, their websites and all headlines / shoplogs about the collection. But then, a couple months later, I found out my girlfriend ordered this bracelet for me as a Christmas gift. I don't wear this bracelet that often, but just looking at it gives me a good feeling. Butterflies all over again!



Then these shorts (I'm not gonna whine about how pale my legs are in this super old picture...). The spring / summer 2010 collection from Miu Miu was probably the first collection ever I really fell in love with. Especially the bird prints. I searched every store for a knock off and I found these shorts at Blanco, in Barcelona. They weren't really my size (too big, as always), but I bought them anyway. One of the best decisions I ever made! It's still one of my favorite pieces and I still wear it every summer. Everybody seems to think it's a skirt though, haha.



I guess my most favorite items are the ones I searched many many countries for. I saw a bag like this while I was on holiday in France, in... I don't even remember what year it was. Again. I didn't buy it (again!!!), and I regretted it big time (AGAIN!!!!!). Then I went to York with school and I saw this shimmery and shiny beauty. It was expensive, but as I didn't want to make the same mistake again, I decided to buy it anyways. And once again: best decision I ever made. I love this bag.



And last but not least: this jacket. Some people call it a military jacket, others call it my Beatles jacket. This is a different story than all my other 'forever favorites'. Here it comes. I saw it at H&M, loved it, bought it and never threw it away. I still wear it, I still love it, I'm still never throwing it away. Oh and P.S. how perfect is my hair in this old pic?! It was taken in 2011. I wish I still had these curls!
